in Neuroscience

Mathematics in Neuroscience is a joint initiative of ENP (Ecole de Neurosciences Paris - Île de France) and FSMP (Fondation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris). The objective of this symposium is to draw attention on the importance of mathematics in the solving of fondamental problems in neuroscience and to demonstrate that neuroscience are a source of new and fascinating questions in mathematics. Speakers will be presenting examples of implications of mathematical sciences in problems related to neuroscience.

The symposium Mathematics in Neuroscience aims to gather a wide public of researchers and students in neuroscience, non necessarily mathematicians, together with researchers and students in mathematics, non necessarily neuroscience specialists.

Grants for students
Highly motivated students can receive grants in order to finance their travelling and accomodation to attend this symposium. In order to apply for a grant, please click "registration".

Organisers
ENP is a network of excellence which gathers 50 research groups in neuroscience in Paris and its surrouding areas, this network appears without equivalent at world level. Its founders are CEA, CNRS, Inserm, Université Paris VI (Pierre et Marie Curie) and Université Paris XI (Orsay and Gif-sur-Yvette).
The FSMP is a network of excellence unique in the world in its subject, dimensions and its scientific potential. FSMP gathers 6 Parisian research structures and institutions : Universités Pierre et Marie Curie and Paris Diderot, Ecole Normale Supérieure, CNRS, Université Paris Dauphine and Collège de France.
These two networks of excellence, in their respective subjects, are active actors for research promotion and support. Their means of actions are grants for masters, doctoral and postdoctoral, the hosting of high level French or foreign scientists, the development of collaborations at international level together with partnerships with the industrial world.
